Jalapeño Lemonade

We first tried Jalapeño Lemonade at a local restaurant and it was amazing. This was one recipe we were definitely going to try at home.

There are several online recipes. Here is the recipe we were given by the restaurant. Hope you like it.

Ingredients
Lemonade or Murlo Lemonade
1 c sugar
1 c water
Lemon or Lime juice
2 – 3 Jalapeno peppers depending on size
Ice

Directions: Jalapeno Simple Syrup
1. Combine sliced jalapenos, sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool.
2. Pour into a clean jar through a strainer and seal with a tight-fitting lid; store in the refrigerator for up to one month.

Directions: Jalapeno Lemonade
1. Rim glass with lemon, lime or jalapeno juice. Then sugar.
2. Add Lemonade to glass. Allow room for ice
3. Add one Tbsp jalapeño simple syrup.
4. Stir well.
5. Garnish with jalapeno slices used to make the simple syrup (optional)

Murlo notes: the amount of jalapeño peppers added to the simple syrup depends on your heat taste preference. Jalapeño juice can also be added from canned jalapenos.
