1 tbsp garlic
2 medium onions (diced)
5 cups crushed tomatoes
1 – 28oz (796ml) can browns beans in tomato sauce
1. In a large skillet, brown the beef and chopped onions, Once onions are translucent add all the spices and cook for a couple minutes.
2. Add ground beef mixture, crushed tomatoes, brown beans to slow cooker or Dutch oven .
3. Stir occasionally
Note: We prepare the ingredients in the morning so the mixture can cook thoroughly through out the day for maximum flavour!
Tips Heating the spices before adding any liquid helps to bring out the flavours.
Chili tastes so much better when cooked low and slow. This method accentuates the flavours so much.
