Spaghetti Pizza Casserole

Spaghetti Pizza

Not sure what to do with your left over spaghetti because you made too much. This is the dish. A different take on the traditional pizza.

Ingredients
2 Cups Left over spaghetti
1/2 Pound Lean ground beef
1  Smoked Italian Sausage (medium spice)
1/2 Cup diced Green pepper
1 Cup Salsa or 1 can tomato paste (213ml)
1 can mushroom pieces
2 eggs
1/4 cup of milk
1 Cup Shredded or grated mozzarella cheese
1/4 C butter
1 can Tomato paste, add water to loosen
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp Basil
Pepper & salt to taste

Assembled Pizza Casserole

Directions  
1. Fry lean ground beef and drain.
2. Add the salsa and spices to the ground beef and simmer.
3. Cut Italian sausage into small pieces.
4. Shred mozzarella cheese
5. Combine and whisk milk and eggs.
6.  Mix spaghetti, egg, milk, add this layer to the bottom of 8” x 12” greased casserole pan.
7.  Layer cheese, then ground beef.
8.  Add cheese to the top of beef,
9. Add sausage, green peppers, and mushrooms.
10.  Add a final layer of cheese and cover with tin foil.
11. Pre-heat over to 350 degrees and cook for 20 minutes.
12. Cook for uncovered for an additional 10 minutes.

Optional
– Once the casserole is cooked, place under broiler to brown cheese.
– Add slice pepperoni as a topping.
