The Artist: Mr Weiming Zhao
Weiming is an artist located in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada who began painting in 2003. He is an amazing person, artist and painter.
Murlo commissioned Weiming to paint a piece you see to the left. The final result is amazing!
As of 2021, he has a portfolio of over 6,600 paintings and counting to his credit. Weiming has been featured by local media, CBC and the Globe & Mail to name a few.
When he travels, his easel and paints go along with him!

Painting en Plein Air
Painting en plein air means you’re outside! En plein air is a French term that means “in the open air.” A lot of artists will paint landscapes outside from observation (looking at the real thing, not using a photograph as a reference). Plein air painting and drawing can be done in a variety of media—oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, pen and ink.
