McEwan’s Scotch Ale – Review

McEwan’s Scotch Ale

McEwan’s Scotch Ale is one of my all time favourite ales especially during the cold Canadian winters!  I prefer to drink this strong ale slightly chilled (not cold) to capture the full flavours of this great ale has to offer.

This is great ale to sip this by pouring a few ounces at a time into a glass and to slightly warm up if needed.  The ale is a dark colour with a thick light brown head.

Few beers have quite such a loyal following.  McEwan’s Scotch beers lovers are spread far and wide – especially North America.  No doubt the bitter cold sits perfectly with this delightfully warming and smooth ale.

It was reborn as a direct result of worldwide customer demand and boasts a delicious mild coffee flavour with notes of raisins and brown sugar.  Not to mention aromas of caramel, toffee, malt bread and dried fruit.
